Yesterday I had the privilege of photographing the children at my mother's group. Nothing better than having a cup of coffee with beautiful ladies, chatting about life and watching our children play. I'm wanting to have more time to use my camera and so took some snaps yesterday as they all played, and in a moment I'll share with you a few of my favourites!
The whole day left me thinking of the passage in Matthew where children were brought by their parents to Jesus so that he may lay hands on them and pray. Jesus' disciples rebuked the parents, and tried to send them away but Jesus stopped them and said "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.". What joy to know that our Almighty God cares for all of us, great and small. That our Savior placed his hands on children and prayed for them and blessed them. By bringing up my children in the knowledge of the Lord I feel that this is what I am doing for them. Although Jesus is not physically in front of us when we pray during the day, by striving to fulfill my duties as mother, wife and disciple and teaching my children to pray and to love the Lord their God with all their heart, all their soul and all their might I am, in fact, presenting my children to Jesus just as these parents did back then. How incredibly awesome that we have a God who is a father to the fatherless and loves the little children beyond anything we can comprehend. And I love my daughters so much that it makes my heart ache, how must God feel about us!!!
It was a blessed time and I so enjoyed being able to snap some photos of these gorgeous little kidlets!
