Take Two!

So I have decided to give blogging another go now that our second daughter has very much settled into life with us. For the sake of this blog I'll name my eldest daughter "Pebbles" and my youngest daughter "Lil Miss". How have these nicknames come into creation? My eldest, who has just turned two, has an abundance of hair and before it was long enough to do much with I used to tie it up in a pony "tuft" on top of her head...like Pebbles, from the Flinstones. My youngest, 14 weeks, was given her nickname from both myself and Pebbles...when I would go in an wake Lil Miss up, I would say "Oh are you awake little miss?!?" and Pebbles would gleefully shout from whichever room she was in "HELLO LIL MISS!". So "Lil Miss" has stuck!

Today I have started a new resolution...do an activity with the kids that I photograph and document. Just one per day, whether it be cooking or arts and craft etc. I was driving today listening to a woman on the radio explain how awful chemotherapy is and how she found out she had a tumor during the late stage of her pregnancy. After her daughter was born she started chemo, and is sick the majority of the time. It was sobering to hear, this poor woman literally had a baby and then was unable to do the majority of the things her daughter required because she was sick all the time, unable to get out of bed etc. I suffer horrendous morning sickness, but at least that goes away and at the end you have a little baby! It was truly sad to hear about this lady and her struggles.

So, I have resolved to ensure I make the most of the time I have and appreciate my health and my children's health. Tomorrow we are going to make salt dough ornaments...very much looking forward to it!

Today Pebbles and I tried a new way of dining...muffin tin style! I saw the idea from here: http://michellesjournalcorner.blogspot.com.au/

So, sure enough, I gave it a go with what I had in the kitchen...and here are a few photos!

Grapes, polony, cheese and her treat of milo snack!

Her first reaction was..."WOW!"

Rather happy with her meal!

What a cutie! Looking forward to tomorrow (tantrums and all!).

My bible verse for the day:

"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen." - 1 Timothy 1:17
